Sometimes you just have to say...

On a positive note, I'll be cracking into L.A. Noire soon. This is a very good thing. And there are some changes coming in June.

For now. Laundry.

How exciting ;-)

QMx's Annual Memorial Day Maquette Sale (Deals)

QMx has decided to do a sale on some of their maquettes for Memorial Day and if you don't pick something up at these prices, I'm gonna have to poke you. They're that good.

Seriously. ;-)

Told ya ;-)

A Pretty Amazing Star Wars Art Nouveau Leia

I have no idea how old this is or who to give credit for it. My friend Charlie sent it my way and I loves it.

If this were the poster for Jabba Cruise Lines I'd go. Heck, it beats Kathie Lee Gifford by a mile.

Update: It's a Star Wars Celebration IV Exclusive print by Adam Hughes. ::grin:: And don't chide me for not knowing. I wasn't there and I'm just seeing this now ;p

Music and Muses: Never Tear Us Apart by Beck

This is courtesy of a post by Pop Candy over a year ago. I kept meaning to actually post is. Funny that it's almost a year to the day.

The ended up doing the entire album over at beck.com.

This vid of New Sensation does a pretty kick ass job of showing how they break it down.

A Different Kind of Follow Friday. ::grin::

It's been a while since I did a real #followfriday. I have my reasons. One of the main ones being that I follow so many interesting people that I have a very hard time narrowing it down to 140 characters.

However, there's one person I wanted to suggest you follow.

Joe Peacock.

I'll be honest. Joe's one of those people that takes some getting used to. He's a self professed asshole. He's wry and snarky and he doesn't pull punches. But that's one of the reasons I like him so much.

Joe's also a geek. He's currently touring with Art of Akira. Explanation: He has an insanely awesome personal Akira collection and he self funds trips to take it on the road.

But what he is most of all, and the reason I recommend him, is a pretty kick ass writer. He's irreverent and bold. He'll write something almost hilariously scathing oner day and then turn around and rip the scab off a very personal wound the next.

In other words, he's real.

So, follow him on Twitter or Facebook and -- if nothing else -- subscribe to his blog.

The power of the Diva compels you.

The Official Trailer For Torchwood: Miracle Day Looks Kick Ass.

I'll admit, I was worried when I first heard about Torchwood going US. This has allayed my fears a bit. Maybe it's the fact that they're on Starz (and because the show always felt to me like it needed a bigger budget to really shine) but it looks...more Torchwood-y.

I Need This - Star Wars Bathroom Tilework

When it comes to epic tilework, this is definitely the bathroom I'm looking for.

But I'll admit, I would rather Han was watching me than Chewie. ::grin:: And I'd love a Roman tub.

My fave thing of the week.

She also did some adorable shots with a Boba Fett helmet and a lightsaber, so click through to see 'em ;-)

Amazing Hasbro Action Figure Sale at Entertainment Earth. Buy 1, Get 1 40% Off [wooohoo]

In my time working with Entertainment Earth, there are very few sales that I've seen that were this cool and this comprehensive. So I'm sharing for sure.

From the site:

Entertainment Earth carries a huge variety of amazing action figures from Hasbro, and for every 2 in-stock Hasbro figures (or sets or cases) that you buy, we'll mark down the lowest priced one by 40%!

Just put 2 in-stock Hasbro action figures (or sets or cases) in your shopping cart and we'll automatically insert a coupon in your cart that gives you the lowest priced of the 2 items at 40% off at checkout.

My take on it:

All in stock Hasbro action figures? Want!

Check it out at Entertainment Earth now.

Bear McCreary Playing BSG's Prelude To War as a piano solo

Battlestar Galatica musical master of awesome Bear McCreary playing Prelude To War as a piano solo.

Also of note, this was uploaded by McCreary himself and he has his own You Tube Channel, so hopefully we'll have more goodness to come?

There's A New Kate Bush Album And I Am In Love. (updated)

Must be the day for remakes.

Kate Bush decided to do some reworking on songs from The Red Shoes & The Sensual World.

Oh. My. Goddess. It's. Unreal.

It's like she realized that all the sexual tension in the songs (but that I thought she held back) was finally allowed to seep out and infuse everything.

And, holy shit but the redo on Lily is amazing.

Yeah, I'm 3 songs in and totally in love.

Make it 4. Deeper Understanding just got a Deep Forest vibe. ::swoon::

I'm gonna go lay down and listen to the rest of this.

You can check out the entire album on NPR here. You can buy it here.

Update: Had to pause in my listen. Just started again. This Woman's Work gave me chills. And I agree with the NPR reviewer. There's more Peter Gabriel in this in a very good way.

Fright Night Trailer -- I like it.

I'm gonna admit. I think this looks pretty dang good so far. It feels like they're keeping the scare factor of the original. And Colin Farrell...He's nicely reined in.

Granted, I hear there's a single shot of Tennant. That's a bummer for me. But I also think they're keeping him out of the trailers so he doesn't destroy people with his awesomeness.

My Water's On Fire Tonight (The Fracking Song)

Personally, I like my PSA's with a musical twist. I think this is a great way to get the message out. Plus, fire, water and fracking? Sounds like a TV series I used to watch.

What The Frak? A BSG Recap With Sense Of Awesome

I've had this in my email for over a year as a "reminder" that I want to keep it, then I realized posting it would do the same trick.

This may be my fave BSG recap ever.

p.s. If you haven't seen BSG and want to avoid spoilers, don't watch this. ::grin:: There. I said it.

The TARDIS Is A Lunchbox

Bif Bang Pow has created a small, portable version of the TARDIS.

Okay, okay, it's a tin tote (aka lunchbox), but considering I like to use these as a purse, I really hope it's bigger on the inside.

Either way, I'm diggin' it for sure.

All Along The Frakkin' Jazz Watchtower. Frakkin' A.

The Sacramento State Jazz Singers bring Bear McCreary's version of "All Along the Watchtower" to awesomely and frakkin' creepily to life.

Jimi Hendrix is in heaven digging this. I just know it.

The New Conan The Barbarian Trailer Makes Me Happy.

Dude, straight up, this looks like a ton of fun. I may have to wrangle my geek girl posse to go out and see it. I like it when movies know they don't have to be art, so they push the edge of the envelope in other ways.

Not to mention, there's a killer looking female villain.

And Jason Momoa...::swoooooon::
