Peach and Zelda Catch Up ::grin:: Girl Talk Is Awesome

::laugh:: So full of win.

Cats Quote Charlie Sheen = Awesome

I was saying earlier that Charlie Sheen has lost his mind. This seems to be a perfect example.

I'm going to post one picture because I love it, and then I'm going to suggest you head over to the actual blog post (and follow @fmarciuliano while you're at it) because, like Lays potato chips, bet you can't eat just one.

James Earl Jones Does Justin Bieber's "Baby" #starwars

Points to James Earl Jones. Minus points to Gayle King for not having seen Star Wars.

And if Justin Bieber comes back with a video of himself in a Vader outfit, I'd think that was beyond win.

Rain Songs (I'm being a wistful Kate Bush & Annie Lennox Fan)

The rain just started and I was looking for a song. I was in a mood, so I googled "Kate Bush rain".

This was among the results. It's not Kate. It's a gal named Happy Rhodes doing a song called "When The Rain Came Down."

If you like Kate, Tori Amos, Annie Lennox, Sia, Adele, Janis Ian, Toni Childs or any number of other amazing female voices, you're going to love this.

And, yes, it's one person. Both voices ;-) There are several people who think it's a duet between Annie &  Kate. But nope.

Recorded version:

Live version (started at about :42)

You can check her out on Amazon here.

I love discovering new music.

I just found this video of Adele on the Brit awards last night. Live, amazing, gorgeous.

She's 22 years old, people. And this is live.

Here's her Amazon store ;-)

Farmville For Dummies exists and I...

...just put it on my Amazon Wishlist. ::headdesk::

If you're one of the addicted, here's the link:  FarmVille For Dummies

p.s. Enabling you makes me feel better.

To FOX & Hollywood From My Inner Fangirl.

Dear Hollywood,

Thanks for doing something I didn't think was possible.

Thanks for putting a dent in my crush on Harrison Ford.

There is no earthly reason he should have been on the red carpet being asked which team he was "rooting for." Harrison Ford is known for not being a fan of interviews. He's not real big on public events and he's known to be monosyllabic (and medicated) most of the time when forced to be at said events

But someone at Fox decided it was a good idea to get Harrison Ford on the red carpet (clearly either drunk or stoned) as part of the media blitz for Cowboys & Aliens and as part of the obvious Fox media blitz during the game.

Not sure what you guys thought you'd get out of the deal. I know you didn't get what you expected. I certainly hope you're proud of yourselves for creating a moment in which a grown man had to point to a scarf in answer to a question and leaving me to wonder if he's in the beginning stages of dementia.

And, in the process, you made my 13 year old Han Solo loving, Indy crushing, Rick Deckard cheering self cry a little.

I'm amazed by what's happening in the world...

This is something I've never seen in my lifetime. Maybe it's the coverage. Maybe the amount of internet availability. Maybe just the pace of events.

But watching this now, watching Egypt fight for a new government and seeing how so many other things have been affected. Knowing that these events are historic not just in themselves but because of the technology that assists's amazing to me.

Maybe it's because I grew up in a time before cable. When news was something that was on a couple times a day. When wars were fought and revolutions waged in places far away that I couldn't access easily.

It's easy to let this go into a background processing, because we have so much media. So much white noise. So many tweets and blogs and "static" now.

This is a real time human struggle for freedom. A revolution. A fundamental shift in an entire region of the world.

I have to remind myself that this is real. And that people are dying right this moment. It's not a movie. It's not a Michael Bay production. It's not a Bruckheimer TV show. It's real.

And that's a hard thing to know as I sit here watching. But I'll keep reminding myself. Because forgetting -- letting it become just another "thing" in the news and on the screen -- that would be harder to live with.

My thoughts and prayers and love to all who fight, to those who watch and worry and to the world in general.

We're history in the making. All of us. Right now.
